It's been a while..........

Well hello bloggers, so sorry to have been away for so long and so much to catch up on! Let's start with yesterday's monthly workshop Martine Smith runs. Great to see everyone and to welcome some new ladies Sue and Janine to the day. Everyone who comes always comments on how friendly and helpful the ladies are and it is so nice to see everyone getting along and having fun. It was a real challenge I set for them in the afternoon with some faint hearts before they started........

..........but you know what they all had a go and slowly the scene appeared before their eyes ! The snowdrops are from Hobby Art 'Spring' set.  Some very happy and chuffed ladies went home with their work. Here's just a few -

The week before had been tinged with sadness as we finally had to say good bye to our much loved old cat Piper. Not a lot I can say (without sobbing) but I wanted to say thank you to the lovely staff at Christmas Lane Vet Surgery who dealt with everything he had been going through with compassion and care. I made this card just for them -

The house seems so empty after nearly 16 years of companionship and unconditional love, RIP Piper.

Happier times over Christmas with one of my daughters and some of my grandchildren staying over the festive period, followed by my sister Sue for a few weeks. Not a lot of card crafting over that time but plenty of knitting lol as Sue is a busy knitter. By sheer coincidence a new Knit and Knatter group has started up in the village, first meeting last week. Lovely to meet up with local ladies and share with each other the skills of knitting and crochet and pass them on to a new generation.

Honey Doo have a new release of stamps soon for their upcoming TV shows - I am eagerly awaiting them ! Here's a few samples I made for their previous ones. All stamps available on their website http://www.honeydoocrafts.co.uk/

And finally  to catch up here are some of the cards I demonstrated at the last Yours Sincerely Show at Maidstone using Penny Black stamps -

All of the cards are made using techniques I teach with Martine of http://abfabdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/ if you're local and interested just send us a message. Spaces do fill up quick though !

Don't forget you can always catch up with me on Facebook and Pinterest as Ellie's Cupboard. Thank you for looking and hopefully see you soon - the next Maidstone show is the 4th February at Mote Park and Honey Doo will be on HOCHANDA on a screen near you very soon !

Hellen x
