Valentine's Cards

A chilly but dry Sunday here in Kent after a busy day yesterday at Eileen's workshop - fab day with lots of laughs with good crafting buddies. Lucky to come home to a house filled with flowers and balloons and then a romantic meal with dearly beloved - yes I do know how lucky I am.

Here's a couple of Valentine's I sent out -

This one is made using the negatives and positives of the Memory Box die La Rue Heart, simple but effective I think and expands the use of the die.

And these were for my darling girls -

A card and a keepsake, the embellished MDF heart comes out of the card to hang on the wall to remind them always of a mother's love.

Hope you had a lovely day too x

Beep beep !

Lovely afternoon on Monday - tea and cake at my daughter's house to celebrate one of my Grandsons birthday - can you guess which one lol ?!

He still seems to like getting my hand made cards so I set to with a Lili of the Valley stamp I coloured with Copics. The corner was made with a Memory Box Stencil and Distress Inks just to balance it out.

Well the weather seems to be up and down at the moment - so lovely when we get blue skies and so depressing when they're grey ......still every day means we're getting nearer to spring - yippee !

Thanks for looking and welcome to my new followers x

Lavinia Challenge 2 - Bright and Beautiful

All things bright and beautiful.......... this month's theme is open ! Last month we had loads of smashing entries - well done to the winner Barry, why don't you have a go this month to try and win a £40 voucher to spend in the Lavinia Webshop. You don't even need a blog you can enter by email - details are on the site.

Here's a card I made simply by laying down some distress inks into water on watercolour card and when dry I stamped with a variety of Lavinia stamps and highlighted with some Stickles.

I enjoyed making this canvas at a friends place the other week, great fun and lots of laughs! Could not get it to photo well as the gold wax was reflecting all the time, hey ho can't be helped. I covered a flat canvas with different acrylics after stencilling some images with paste and letting it dry. Then I stamped some Lavinia stamps and highlighted with white pen and gilding wax.

So hope you enjoy having a go this month - and don't forget to take a tour around the team's blogs - get yer shades ready though for some real bright and beautiful designs ! Thanks for looking x
