Blue Flowers with Dragonflies - Reprint, Roxstamps and Gummiapan by Hellen

Hello and welcome to the cupboard ! It seems we may be having summer today in the UK - make the most of it!

So here is my Swedish Housecrafts post for this week - a CAS design  -

This 6x6 card is made with white linen card for the base and frame using Roxstamps nesting squares die set.

I cut a piece of card to fit the frame, blending it with a blue dye ink and stamped on top using Reprint Coffee Text and the same colour ink. This was stuck down under the frame which was raised on foam pads.

I then ink blended some scrap card and cut out a dragonfly and  2 flowers using Gummiapan dies. Note that on one of the flowers I kept the petals intact with a piece of double sided tape on the back.

The die cuts were mounted on to the frame and some glitter added to the dragonfly and some bling to the flowers.

A simple design - but sometimes in life that's just what you need.

Hope you all have a lovely day - the links below will take you straight to the items I've used or to have a peek around the whole shop use the link in the sidebar.

Thank you for looking x

Gummiapan Shabby Chic Tag by Hellen

Hello and welcome to my cupboard! This week I’m showing you a shabby chic tag made using mainly Gummiapan stamps and die with a few bits from my stash added. All the links to my purchases from Swedish Housecrafts are below, the shop is based in Manchester UK.

First step was to cut 3 tags in black, white and kraft card. My black tag is 9 x17 cm, my white tag is 8.5 x 16.5 cm and my Kraft tag is 8 x 16 cm. Before glueing together and punching a hole in the top I randomly stamped the kraft card piece with Versamark Ink using Gummiapan stamp Worn Burlap and then heat embossed after applying white embossing powder.

Tools I used - sorry about the sunshine!!
Then I stamped, again using Versamark Ink and white embossing powder, Daisy Face (twice) and Large Dotted Feather onto scraps of kraft card and after heat embossing I cut around the images and gave them a little shaping with my bone folder and ball tools. If you don’t have these tools you can easily do this with your fingers and palm of your hand. The two Daisy Face images were arranged and glued on top of each other after shaping for a bit more dimension.
The small tag was a spare tag I had cut in kraft card which I stamped and heat embossed as before using the  Worn Burlap and With Love sentiment stamps.

I stamped the Butterfly Monarch Large Profile (once) and Butterfly Monarch Small Profile (three times) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap of Neenah card and coloured with my alcohol pens in shades of yellow/orange.
Using Gummiapan Doodle Circle I die cut 1 white and 1 black one.

Now it’s simply the assembly!
With your large tags now glued and hole punched I laid a piece of lace across, attached the small tag using foam squares and arranged the die cuts, daisy flower and feather and gluing them on through some scrunched up sissal I had. I added bling to the daisy and then the butterflies as shown before threading ribbon through the hole at the top.

So there you have it, a shabby chic tag using scraps of card with some simple heat embossing. Hands up all of you who are humming the Beatles song ‘With love from me to you’ – if you weren’t before you will be now !

So pop along to Swedish Housecrafts using the links below to the individual items or by using the link in the sidebar and have some fun browsing the goodies you’ll find there.

See you soon x

Mo Manning - Eva

Hi - happy Thursday, I know it's a Thursday because it's time for my Mo Manning card for this week !

Such a little sweetie called Eva, it comes with a sentiment as well but I chose to make an A6 size card after printing the image and sentiment out, which wouldn't then fit without resizing and printing so I'll save that for another day. Besides I thought Eva was getting all dressed up to celebrate a 'Special Day' so I went with that.

Printed off and coloured with my Copics I popped her on a doily die cut from the same paper I used to make the background panel, a die cut sentiment and just a few sequins and gems.

Lots going on at Mo's place at the moment, with no Challenge or Blop Hop any more Mo  has created a fabulous new page on Facebook called Mo's Digital Pencil Challenges . Great fun with Mo putting on mini challenges and prizes so why not take a look?

Click HERE to take you to Mo's Digital Shop and see Eva - you'll love her I'm sure.

Mo Manning - Challenge for May 2017

Hello - well who can believe it's May already! April flew by with for me a little holiday with my sister Sue to celebrate her birthday followed the week after by my own. Time to sit and catch up now.

I decided it was time for me to look into Mo's png images, especially designed to be adaptable and for merging images together. There's a great video by Mo on Youtube which goes through the process step by step - trust me - if I can do it so can you ! Grab a cuppa and see for yourself how easy it is.

So my card is made up of Morgan Doll and Morgan Soccer all merged together, printed and then coloured with my pens to make this sweet little football boy. A few star and banner dies and voila done!

It;s the start of a new month's challenge for Mo's DP2 Challenge so why not pop over and take a look, you've got to be in it to win it so check out the rest of the team's inspiration and join in.

Hope you're having a lovely May, I'll have some news to share soon about what else I've been up to so I'll catch up with you later.

April Workshop

Hi - happy Monday !

Just a quick post to show my card design for my next workshop this Saturday the 29th.

It's a good exercise on how different colours make a difference - 'Blue Moon' is quite monotone and 'Dawn' is made using more colours. Both cards were made using HobbyArt's Dandelion Wishes.

I so look forward to these workshops - lots of fun, laughter and crafting!

Catch up!

Well I have been a bit remiss lately with my blogging so thought I'd do a catch up of some of the things we've been making at my monthly workshops along with Martine. We've been  having great fun with each day full of laughs and chat along with some crafting! The next ones are on the 19th March and 29th April - really look forward to doing these, always lovely to see people who haven't tried things before because they've felt they can't do something suddenly say 'I can do this!' .

Image may contain: 1 person, sitting and indoorImage may contain: one or more people and screen

In January we played with watercolours and HobbyArt stamps 'Irises' The brown one was made by painting with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, the others with Kuretake Clean Colour pens.

February's was a bit more complicated but worth the extra effort ! I was inspired from attending Jenny Mayes workshop last year to make this one using HobbyArt Spring Scenes stamps this time with the Kuretake pens to colour.

Image may contain: 7 people, people smiling, people sitting and indoor

Here are some of the ladies having fun with some Christmas designs we did in December.
If any one is interested in coming to one of our workshops please contact me through my blog or pm me on Facebook. We sometimes have a few places spare so it's always worth checking.

Well that'll do for now, hope you've enjoyed looking through the photos and hope to see you soon !
